Laura loveland

Vanuatu 2015-2018

Laura served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Vanuatu from 2015 to 2018, where she worked as an IT Education volunteer. She partnered with local village teachers, led marketing trainings for community tourism business owners, and helped create an annual IT camp for girls and boys interested in technology. Laura also worked closely with her host mom, Mama Jacky, preparing and selling kava at the family nakamal every day.

After returning to the U.S., Laura continued working with the Peace Corps as a Regional Recruiter and Program Specialist, and served as the agency lead for the Paul D. Coverdell Program. Originally from Homestead, Florida, she moved to the Nashville area in 2020. She has a BA in Digital Media and freelances as a graphic designer.
