What We Do

Tennessee Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (TNRPCV) is a statewide non-profit uniting and empowering the Tennessee Peace Corps community through service and support. We offer a network for RPCVs living in Tennessee to come together through local groups in Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, and Nashville. We get together for international dinners, happy hours, and service activities almost every month. We raise funds to support community-led projects by current Peace Corps Volunteers through the Peace Corps Partnership program. We also assist the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) by sharing information to our larger community about the importance of the Peace Corps and what it offers individuals as well as reasons why the Peace Corps is an important entity for the United States and abroad.

Support PCVs and communities around the world. TNRPCV raises money to donate to Peace Corps Partnership development projects. Whenever possible, we donate to projects lead by PCVs from Tennessee.

Our Impact

Since the creation of TNRPCV in 2008, we have donated over $20,000 to 40+ projects around the globe; co-hosted two National Peace Corps Association events, including the 2014 Peace Corps Connect conference; assisted dozens of local organizations through community service; and united and empowered over 600 RPCVs across Tennessee.

About Us

Ten years ago, three RPCVs got together over coffee wondering if there were more RPCVs in the Volunteer State who wanted to get together and do some good while having fun. One of them knew someone who had a list of RPCVs and the rest is history. Today, TNRPCVs get together in Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, and Nashville to volunteer, socialize and raise funds for current PCV projects. All RPCVs in Tennessee are automatically TNRPCV members and encouraged to come to events and get involved with the board of directors.
