Bethany Williams
Moldova, 2016 -2018
Bethany served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the south central area of Moldova. She served as an TEFL English Educator and worked alongside three local partner teachers to reach students from 6-12th grade. She also taught after school
English lessons for students and fellow teachers alike. She loved joining community members for important local celebrations and spending time hearing the stories of others. She was a part of a group who piloted the Turul Moldova, a 2-week walking trip across the country spreading awareness of what being a Peace Corps volunteer is all about.
Bethany wanted to return to a place her sisters had called home for two decades and moved to Knoxville, TN after her service. Bethany currently holds her Master’s Degree in Applied Anthropology from the University of Kentucky and is an advocate for continuing, lifelong education. She currently works in data management.
