Trey is a North Carolina native who graduated from Warren Wilson College with a degree in Environmental Science with a focus on Sustainable Agriculture. He served in Zambia from 2014-2016 as an Agroforestry Extension agent where he worked with farmers and community members on implementing soil conservation practices, improving gardening practices, and incorporating tree planting into farmlands to help create more sustainable farm systems and improve soil fertility. He also helped coordinate an environmental awareness program for children at a wilderness preserve. Trey came back to the states and worked for an Americorps program called Foodcorps for a year in rural Arkansas. Trey now lives in Murfreesboro where he works as a production assistant at a hydroponic farm in Eagleville. When he’s not working he likes to garden, hike, cook, read, run, go to music festivals/concerts and discover more of the amazing community the greater Nashville area has to offer. He’s also a certified master gardener.
