Lindsey is a native of Birmingham, Alabama where she attended the University of Alabama. Upon graduating, she moved to Israel to live on an organic cooperative farm before deciding to stay and earn her master’s degree in Conflict Management.
In the Peace Corps, Lindsey served in a small Maya-Mestizo village in Northern Belize and worked with community members on an environmental cleanup project, preschool program, and health education. Her favorite project was her GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) club, a girl’s leadership group that focused on self-esteem, gender equality, communication skills, health, and decision making. One of her favorite memories was accompanying six girls from her village (who had never been away from home), to the national GLOW camp with girls from all over Belize.
Lindsey is excited to be a new member of the thriving Nashville Community where she is working with the City of Nashville.
